Bringing together landowners and land managers who are rewilding or who are looking to start rewilding, for co-ordinated local action.
The North East Rewilding Network is being led by Climate Action North. The aim of the network is to bring together landowners and land managers who are rewilding or who are looking to start rewilding, for co-ordinated local action.
The network also aim to assist with rewilding community areas making them more lively, colourful healthier places for people and wildlife, such as birds, insects and animals, to use and enjoy.

Rewilding County Durham
The Barn at Easington is very excited to announce that in the Autumn of 2020 we began our Rewilding project at the farm by planting some trees.
Our rewilding journey began by converting what was arable land, when we purchased the farm in 1997, to pasture sown with native grasses and wild flowers. 20 years later this has already born fruit with increasingly species rich wild flower meadows year on year.
The plan is, as part of a Defra Countryside Stewardship Scheme, to take the edges of this field out of management and leave them ungrazed and mostly un cut to encourage the trees and scrub in the Dene to spread outwards.

The Rewilding Network is the go-to place for projects across Britain to connect, share and make rewilding happen on land and sea.
